The Law School is located in one of the most beautiful cities in
the world - Saint-Petersburg. ?The Venice of the North?, "The Pearl
of the Baltic" - these are among the exotic names given to St. Petersburg
by those who have visited and admired the city on the Neva river. Today
the "Venice of the North" at the mouth of the Gulf of Finland, with
its myriad islands, palaces, bridges and architectural treasures attracts
a multitude of tourists from various countries.
For tourist information on Saint-Petersburg, consult
http://eng.gov.spb.ru/.

nearest drop-off point and during the programme. Though any walk for
sure will appear wonderful, unforgettable travel for you, because
St. Petersburg is an open-air museum, the City of Palaces and architectural
treasures.
On September, 10th (Sunday) after registration, a welcoming
reception during the boat trip on the Neva river will take place.

be a possibility to see Peterhof - the beautiful suburb of St. Petersburg
- and all Saint-Petersburg.

For many people, a visit to St. Petersburg begins at Pulkovo Airport
http://eng.pulkovo.ru/:
the two terminals, Pulkovo 1 and 2, are the aerial gateway to St. Petersburg,
the face of our city, where everything is geared towards providing
fast and high-quality service to passengers. There is an airport bus to
the city centre and taxis are available.
Attention! It is necessary to receive the tourist visa!
When you book your accommodation, you should also send the
Visa Support Request
Form. You will get a 'voucher' by fax from the hotel. You need to
include the voucher when you apply for a tourist visa. The voucher is
a confirmation to show where you will be staying.
If you also attend the optional Moscow programme you will also
need a voucher from the Moscow hotel!
Tourist visa information
can be found at, for example,
http://www.travel.spb.ru/theguide/visa.html
but check this with your own authorities.
See the links below for a form to reserve a room at the conference hotel
and to request a transfer from the airport to the hotel. Do not forget
to request a visa support letter from the hotel, see the visa section
above. The conference hotel will be the Hotel Pribaltiyskya with which
