capital of the State of Maharashtra on the wonderful
west coast of India. Mumbai is the business and
entertainment capital of India. The conference will
be in the heart of the old city within walking distance of the
Arabian Sea, the law courts, and the famous Gateway of India.
The city was named after the local
deity, Mumba Devi.Mumbai was formerly known as Bombay;
the name
originated from the Portuguese 'Bom
Bahia' or Good Bay
because the city has a superb natural
harbour.
Mumbai is home to 13 million people
of diverse castes,
creeds, colours and cultures. It
is also the capital of
Bollywood, the Indian film industry.
People from many
places come to the 'city of dreams'
to fulfill their ambitions
and become successful.
