Day 0 1 : MUMBAI - DELHI

This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Delhi where upon arrival you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel.

 

Delhi - The capital city of modern I ndia has behind it centuries of history, which has enriched its culture. Nowhere has tradition blended with modernity on a scale as evident in Delhi - age-old monuments stand check by jowl with ultra modern hi-rise buildings. Delhi has been the seat of power for centuries. Later you will be taken on a tour of Delhi - today old and new city combine to present a harmonious whole offering the traveller, elegant shops, broad laburnum lined avenues, sun warmed elegant forts and mosques that were once stronghold of Mughal powers and colourful bazaars. Overnight at the hotel. City tour of Old & New Delhi visit : Humayun’s Tomb, Red Fort Qutab Minar, Lotus Temple.

 

Day 0 2 : DELHIAGRA

Morning transfer to the railways stat ion in time for the Shatabdi Express to Agra. On arrival in Agra transfer to the hotel. On the right bank of the River Yamuna, Agra reigns over a glorious past created by warriors as skilled in art and architecture as they were on the bat t lefield. The city’s historical origins before the Mughal conquest are dim and it was practically founded by the Mughal Emperor Babur. To the lover of art and to the traveler seeking the wonders of I ndia, Agra is the goal of a pilgrimage, its shrines being the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort . You will be taken to visit the Taj Mahal, (Taj is closed on Fr idays) Agra Fort and the tomb of Itimad-ud-daulah. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 0 3 : AGRA – JAIPUR VIA FATHEPUR SIKRI

Morning, leave for Jaipur by surface enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful building including the Jama Masjid. Tomb of Chishti, Panch Mahal and other palaces. On arrival in Jaipur check in to the hotel. Built by Sawai Jai Singh, the cit y of Jaipur is amongst the first of I ndia’s planned cities. The ancient heart of the Pink City still beats in its fairy tale palaces; rugged fortresses perched on barren hills and broad avenues. Jaipur has a timeless appeal in its colourful bazaars that delights for its Rajasthan handlooms and trinkets. Beaut ifully laid out gardens and parks, at t ract ive monuments and marvelous heritage hotels, once the residence of Maharajas, are worth admiration that makes a t rip to the pink city a memorable one. Afternoon city sightseeing tour visit ing Maharaja’s City Palace and the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) . Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 0 4 : JAIPUR – DELHI

Morning depart for an excursion to the Amber Fort , the ancient capital of the state until 1728. Visit the Jagmandir or the hall of victory glittering with mirrors, Jai Mahal and temple of Kali. Ascend on elephant back, the hill on which the Fort is situated. Later drive for Delhi. On arrival transfer to city or to the International airport to board flight for onward destination.

Day 0 1 :  MUMBAI – GOA

Afternoon departure transfer to the domestic airport to board flight for Goa. On arrival transfer and check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 0 2 : GOA

After breakfast proceed for half day city tour and old Goa, Dona Poula, Miramar, Altinho and Panji City. Afternoon half day Shri Mangeshi Temple Shri Shantadurga Temple and Shri Ramnath temple. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 0 3 : GOA

After breakfast proceed for full day excursion to Calangute Beach, Vagator, Anjuna, Baga and Mapuasa city. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 0 4 : GOA - MUMBAI

Morning transfer to the airport to board flight back to Mumbai. Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to the airport for onward flight .

DAY 0 1 :  MUMBAI - AURANGABAD

This afternoon fly to Aurangabad, founded in 1610 by Malik Ambar – an Abyssinian slave who became the Prime Minister to the King of Ahmednagar. The city was originally known as Khadke and was later changed to Aurangabad in honor of Aurangzeb – the last great Mughal emperor. Aurangabad is located in the heart of the state of Maharashtra and is an ideal location for organizing visits to the world- famous rock-cut temples of Ajanta and Ellora.

 

Day 0 2 : AURANGABAD

Full day excursion to Ellora Caves (closed on Tuesdays) – another World Heritage Site. Ajanta and its wondrous cave temples are cut into the rocky sides of a dramatic crescent -shaped gorge, at the head of which is a waterfall that drops over the mountain rim in a series of seven steps to a pool far below – the Saptakund. They cover a span of 800 years where, under the royal patronage of ruling dynasties, professional artists helped Buddhist monks to create magnificent murals narrating the story of Buddha in his cycle of incarnations, while simultaneously creating a painted record of the panorama of life in ancient India. Etched and painted in mineral dyes, the paintings have a languorous stylized beauty and magical eloquence. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 0 3 : AURANGABAD - MUMBAI

Today you enjoy a full-day visit to the Ajanta Caves (closed on Mondays), older than those at Ellora and dating back to 200 BC – 650 AD. These caves consist of 24 monasteries and five temples, hewn out of solid rock. Their wall paintings and frescoes have a beautiful flow of line and a wealth of color; the walls tell the life story of Buddha, as well as mirror the culture of that period. Later transfer to the airport for your flight back to Mumbai.

Day 0 1 : MUMBAI - COCHIN

Departure transfer to the airport to board flight for Cochin. Meeting and assistance on arrival and t ransfer to the hotel. Later evening witness the Kathakali dance. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 0 2 : COCHI N - PERIYAR

Morning half day city tour of Cochin with visit to the Dutch Palace, The Jewish Synagogue, St . Francis Church and The Santa Cruz Basilica. While driving along the coast line, at the harbour’s mouth, one can also view the unique and still in use “Chinese fishing nets” which were introduced by the Chinese traders in the 14th century. Later proceed for Periyar. On arrival check in at the hotel. Evening boat cruise on lake Periyar, which are the usual way of touring the wildlife sanctuary. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 0 3 : PERIYAR – KUMARAKOM

Morning visit to the Periyar wildlife sanctuary (185 kms/ 4 hours) , which is one of the most important and frequently visited in India. A pleasant escape from the rigors of India travel, a nice place to cruise on the lake, and an opportunity to see some wildlife as well as enjoy a jungle walk as well seeing spice plantations– Periyar offers them all. Afternoon drive to Kumarakom. On arrival check in at the hotel. Kumarakom is on the eastern shore of Vembanad Lake, which is a bird sanctuary. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 0 4 : KUMARAKOM

After breakfast , explore this exotic destination, which is famous not only for the resort where you will be staying but also for the charming little bird sanctuary, which plays host to a variety of migratory birds and to take the various ayurvedic treatments in the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 0 5 : KUMARAKOM – HOUSEBOAT

Afternoon transfer to the boat for a cruise through many canals and waterways up to Alleppey. The backwater cruise in a country boat is the best way to explore the villages and rural life. In Alleppey you will be taken aboard your floating houseboat , a different boat with a bedroom and en-suite rest room for your comfort . Enjoy unlimited surfing on backwaters, sip a coconut , get disturbed by only the chirping of birds and occasional ripples in water and savor mouth watering delicacies prepared in front of you by your Kitchen crew. Spend the night on board the houseboat . Overnight on board the House Boat.

 

Day 0 6 : HOUSEBOAT – MARARIKULAM

Morning onboard the houseboat in Alleppey. Later transfer to Marari Beach Resort . On arrival check in at the resort . Day at leisure. Overnight at the resort .

 

Day 0 7 : MARARIKULAM – COCHIN – MUMBAI

After breakfast transfer to Cochin to board flight for Mumbai. Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to the international airport to board flight for your onward destination.
