As the definition of information literacy develops to include a diverse range of knowledge, abilities, and perspectives, so too does our role as educators. In our rapidly shifting information landscape, we must embrace spontaneity and risk-taking to meet the needs of our users.
The 2023 Teaching the Teachers Conference: Beginners’ Bootcamp will focus on evidence-based instructional strategies and instructional design for newer-to-teaching law librarians. Attendees will get an introduction to cognitive theory, backward design, and assessment creation and will have substantial time to work on materials for their classes under the guidance of a mentor and other experienced legal research instructors. Attendance is limited to 24 participants, with application required by January 16, 2023.
