Academic Presentation at Federal Court & Taronga Zoo
The post-conference session will be on Thursday 31 October. The morning session, with speaker, will be at the Federal Court, followed by a guided tour to see Australian animals at Taronga Zoo.
The cost for the day is US$100. This includes zoo admission, ferry tickets, and a gourmet packed lunch.
Programme
Morning Venue: Level 20 Conference Room, Federal Court, Law Courts Building, Queens Square, 184 Phillip Street – on the corner of Macquarie, King and Phillip Streets.
10.00am: Tea / coffee and pastries
10.30am: Academic Presentation
Speaker: Dr Sophie Riley, University of Technology Sydney
Topic: Border Controls, Invasive Species and Animal Ethics

This talk will be followed by a short ferry trip to Taronga Zoo in Mosman, where we will have a picnic lunch.
2.00pm: You will be able to see our unique Australian wildlife up close during a specially arranged Australian Walkabout tour of Australian animal exhibits. The tour will finish between 3.15 – 3.30pm.
Following the tour, you are welcome to stay at the zoo as long as you like and make your own way back on the ferry. The Zoo closes at 5pm.
