The concept of sustainable development implies the process of achieving a balance between economic, social, and environmental requirements. Libraries, through their various activities, can have a major impact on raising awareness of the importance of environmental protection and sustainable development. At this professional conference we want to show examples of good practice, library services, and activities of libraries related to sustainability, how to increase the awareness of librarians themselves about environmental issues and to encourage them to organize programs and activities in their libraries accordingly.
