On behalf of the Nomination Committee of the International Association of Law Libraries, I am pleased to inform the members of the proposed slate of candidates for Officers and Members of the Board of Directors for the term 2007 – 2010.

Article V1 of the Constitution states:

The Officers of the Association shall consist of the President, First Vice -President, Second Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer to be elected by the regular members of the Association…

Article V11 specifies the composition of the Board of Directors:

The Board of Directors shall consist of the officers specified in Article V1, eight additional members, and the immediate Past President. Five of the Board members shall be elected by the regular members of the Association and three shall be appointed by the outgoing Board of Directors…

As directed by Article V11 of the Constitution, I am submitting the proposed list of candidates to all members for 60 days from the date of mailing. During this period, names of regular members may also be submitted as candidates for any elected office by petition signed by ten or more regular members and submitted to the Secretary by mail to the address below. If further nominations are received, an election by written ballot containing the names submitted will be held. If no further names of nominees are submitted, the names submitted by the Nominations Committee will be elected by acclamation without ballot.

The membership will be informed of the results by July 1, 2007.
