IALL Elections 2013 – Announcement by the Nominations Committee

As you probably know, there will be elections to the IALL Board in 2013. The process was explained at the Annual General Meeting during the recent conference and is described further down this page

A Nominations Committee has been appointed by IALL and comprises myself, Silke Sahl of Columbia University in New York, and Machteld Nijsten of the European University Institute in Florence.

The Nominations Committee will, of its own initiative, canvass members for their interest in serving. You do not need to contact us to be considered. However, if you would like to bring your interest in serving to the attention of the Nominations Committee, please feel free to write or talk to me or Silke or Machteld. Please do so by Friday 11th January at the latest. We already have a note of all those people who expressed an interest to me at the recent conference.

A list of requirements for becoming an IALL Officer or member of the Board appears in the description further down this page.

By 1st February 2012, the Nominations Committee will submit to the IALL Secretary its nomination of one member willing and able to serve in each position on the Board available for election. (This is only the first part of the process. The list of nominations will be publicised and then any IALL member not selected for nomination by the Nominating Committee may get a place on the ballot by petition to the IALL Secretary signed by ten or more regular IALL members.)
