The International Conference on Information Literacy (ICIL-Africa) is held biannually to bring together researchers, library and information services professionals, and other related parties from around the world to exchange knowledge and experience, and to discuss recent developments and current challenges in both theory and practice. The year 2026 marks the collaboration among the University of Nairobi, the North-West University (NWU), and the University of Pretoria (UP) in South Africa, within the framework of organising and hosting the 4th edition of the International Conference on Information Literacy (ICIL-Africa).
